The New Barb Van Andel-Gaby Building Opens

A new era: Last week, Heritage cut the ribbon on the state-of-the-art Barb Van Andel-Gaby Building, which adds a new office space, radio and TV studios, and a ballroom to Heritage’s headquarters in Washington, D.C.

First Heritage Strategy Forum: Christopher Rufo Awarded Salvatori Prize

On offense: Heritage convened dozens of leaders movement-wide for its new Strategy Forum—a two-day conference to discuss the most pressing issues and chart a course to save America.

• The forum culminated Wednesday night with a reception at which Heritage awarded renowned journalist, producer, and anti-CRT and DEI activist Christopher Rufo its 2024 Salvatori Prize for American Citizenship. Read more here.

Fraud: The mainstream media insists that illegal immigrants never vote in U.S. elections, but Hans von Spakovsky, manager of Heritage’s Election Law Reform Initiative, told lawmakers last week at a hearing on election fraud that they, in fact, do.

• “We know that aliens are registering and actually voting, although we do not know the extent of the problem since the vast majority of states are not verifying the citizenship of registered voters,” he testified.

Unbelievable: Northwestern University—which receives hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars per year—failed to report several crimes, including assault and battery, allegedly perpetrated by anti-Israel rioters on campus.

• “Northwestern University may have violated a federal law by failing to report crimes on campus at least five times during recent anti-Israel protests,” writes Daily Signal Investigative Columnist Tony Kinnett.

Insidious: New data unearthed by Heritage reveal that the Department of Defense authorized 17 more abortions in military facilities than the 60 originally reported.

• After the Heritage Oversight Project sued, "the Department of Defense said that it had identified a total of 77 abortions performed in military medical treatment facilities (MTFs) during the four-year period between 2016 and 2020,” writes Daily Signal Senior Reporter Mary Margaret Olohan.
