We need to "do stuff." We need to problem-solve. |
Running for Congress in Michigan's 1st District, I am focused on defeating Rep. Jack Bergman because of my unwavering commitment to improving our communities. This distinction is crucial. Below, I'll explain. First... |
Friends,
Our District faces significant challenges: nine of the top ten counties in our District lead the state in unemployment and underemployment. We need livable wages, affordable childcare, and housing. These issues demand urgent attention and action. Here's what I propose:
- We must create jobs that pay livable wages, attract new industries, and support local businesses.
- We need to invest in infrastructure.
- Access to quality education and vocational training is essential.
-
Access to affordable, reliable childcare.
- Safe, affordable housing should be available to all. We need to expand affordable housing projects, offer incentives for developers to build more affordable units, and provide support for first-time homebuyers.
-
Access to quality healthcare is a cornerstone of a strong community. We must work to expand healthcare services in underserved areas and ensure that mental health services are accessible to everyone. I am a proponent of universal healthcare, specifically Medicare for All.
By focusing on these core issues, we can make our District a place where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. This is about action, "doing stuff," and creating tangible improvements in the lives of our residents.
To get to Congress and make some crucial policy improvements, we must all unite. That's my goal, and my campaign is reliant on contributors like you. If you can chip in today, we've got a deadline and a goal to hit.
