*Acting Governor Kehoe to Visit Weather-Impacted Communities in Southeast Missouri*

*(JEFFERSON CITY, MO)* ? Tomorrow, May 28, 2024, Lt. Governor Mike Kehoe, in his capacity as Missouri's Acting Governor, will travel to Southeast Missouri to assess storm damage in the area and better learn what state resources may be needed to help impacted communities respond and recover.?

Acting Governor Kehoe will be joined by State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) Director Jim Remillard as well as staff members from the Office of the Governor. Media and other official inquiries regarding this visit should be directed to the Governor's Office. Media contact is below.?

Acting Governor Kehoe's visit will be primarily focused in the Sikeston area where at least one storm-related fatality has been reported and numerous instances of damaged homes and businesses. Acting Governor Kehoe will be joined by the Mayor of Sikeston, Greg Turnbow, for the visit.

Upon the conclusion of the visit to assess storm damage, a brief media availability with Acting Governor Kehoe, SEMA Director Remillard, and Mayor Turnbow will be held at the Sikeston YMCA where the American Red Cross has established a shelter. ?
