John — Memorial Day always makes
me think about the people I served with in Iraq and Afghanistan — some of
America's best — and how we can honor them.
Please let me explain.

For the last two decades, corrupt politicians wasted $6.4 trillion and an
entire generation of America’s best on pointless forever wars — sending
soldiers like me and everyone else on doomed missions to build up
countries like Iraq and Afghanistan while our communities back home
crumbled.
While we fought and died to keep terrorism out of our own country, our
politicians let domestic terrorists run rampant — plaguing our country
with gun violence and turning elementary schools and grocery stores into
war zones.
And now, those same war-hungry crooks like Josh Hawley, who dumped
trillions into nation-building abroad, lined the pockets of their defense
contractor donors, and let us fight and die in these pointless wars are
telling us we can’t “afford” to invest in our people and communities here
at home.
We can’t let these lying elites continue calling the shots. That’s why I’m
running for Missouri’s U.S. Senate seat.
Everyday Missourians — people who know how to take care of each other —
should be calling the shots in our country, not corrupt politicians and
ultra-wealthy elites who rarely send their kids to die in war.
Together, we can end the war-hungry defense lobby hellbent on sending our
troops back to the battlefield and make war profiteering a federal crime.
We can stand up for every veteran and family who paid the ultimate
sacrifice. And we can finally make investments and build up our
communities back home.
Thanks for hearing me out and for being on this team.
Hope you’re having a good Memorial Day,
Lucas
