This Memorial Day, I’m thinking of the countless brave service members who have sacrificed everything to protect our values, our ideals, and our nation – and of the many military families who have lost loved ones.
I know the San Diego community deeply understands the sacrifice involved in service, so I hope you’ll join me in reflecting on the courage of all the service members who have given their lives in service to our country. We owe a debt of gratitude that is impossible to repay. But today and every day, we should strive to honor our fallen heroes by supporting all members of our military community and ensuring they can live with the dignity and respect they deserve.
