What They were Fighting For |
Friends, On Memorial Day, we honor the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
They were protecting several core principles and values that are fundamental to the American way of life. |
- They defended our free speech and civil liberties.
- They protected and defended us from hostile nations, terrorist organizations, and other threats.
-
They promoted global peace and stability.
- They supported and strengthened us in maintaining a stable and cooperative global order.
- They upheld values such as justice and equality both domestically and internationally.
Today, we pause to reflect on the indomitable courage and unwavering dedication of these fallen heroes. Their service, marked by bravery and sacrifice, has left an indelible mark on our nation. We honor them not just for their service, but for the principles for which they fought, reminding us of the values we hold dear. -Bob Bob Lorinser Candidate for US Congress Northern Michigan / Upper Peninsula Democrat, MI01
