As we honor the fallen this Memorial Day, let's also rededicate ourselves to supporting the veterans who are still with us. Their sacrifices and service deserve our deepest gratitude today and every day.

As the proud grandson of three World War II veterans, I feel privileged to have grown up hearing stories of service, sacrifice, and true patriotism. My grandfathers served as pilots, and my grandmother was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard. Their dedication and bravery have always been a source of inspiration for me.

It's crucial to recognize that many veterans in our country are facing unacceptable challenges when it comes to employment, housing, food, and medical care upon returning home. We owe our veterans more than just our thanks and remembrance – we owe them our unwavering support and action to ensure they and their loved ones receive the benefits they've earned.

I hope you have a safe Memorial Day, and I hope you'll join me today in taking a moment to remember those who lost their lives in service to our country.
