On this Memorial Day, I hope you’ll join me in taking time to remember our brave servicemembers who lost their lives while fighting for our country, as well as their families. We will never forget their commitment to our freedoms, and we are forever indebted to them for their sacrifices and bravery.

Together, we honor these servicemembers who died while serving our country by recommitting ourselves to our nation’s founding ideals of freedom, justice, and equality for all. In Congress, I remain committed to fighting for a government that takes care of service members and their families, both during their service and when they come home.

Remember to give thanks for our freedom, for which so many have sacrificed so much. My thoughts are with all the families across our nation who are missing a loved one at their table tonight.
