This Memorial Day, I join Americans across the country in remembering and honoring the brave American men and women who have sacrificed their lives for our country and our freedom.
We can honor their memories and their sacrifice by carrying on their fight for our country, our values, and our democracy.
Today, our democracy, our values, and are country are under threat. We know that outside forces continue to try to weaken and undermine our democracy. And internal divisions are tearing at our communities. It is essential that we come together as Americans. We do that by engaging with one another, by continuing to work together, making our voices heard at the ballot box, and standing up for our freedoms—freedoms servicemen and women have fought and died for.
Let’s do our part to carry on their commitment to, and belief in, our country, this year and every year.
