On Memorial Day, Michiganders come together to honor the memory of those we lost in service to our nation. Those who represent us in uniform are the best of us. They put their lives on the line to protect our freedoms. In Michigan, we are committed to supporting our military members and their families with the education, housing, and health benefits they have earned. Let?s have their backs??and honor those no longer with us.

Our service members deserve our thanks and support. That?s why I proclaimed May 2024 as Military Appreciation Month in Michigan. On Memorial Day, let?s thank our current and past service members and everyone dedicated to keeping our nation safe.

Michigan has a long history of supporting the U.S. military. This month, and every month, let?s thank these exemplary Michiganders for their service.
