This Memorial Day, I’m thinking of the countless brave service members who have sacrificed everything to protect our values, our ideals, and our nation – and of the many military families who have lost loved ones.

In their honor, we must strive to live up to the ideals they fought for: freedom, equality, and justice. I promise you that today, and every day, I will fight for those who fight for our country.
