"18 years is enough for an unelected official -- Supreme Court justice -- wielding such power. Each president gets two picks which will decrease the political pressure in confirmation." -- Eric H. Holder, Jr.

Friend,
The appointments of Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court have been bad news for fair redistricting, voting rights, and countless other issues we care about. That was the case once again this week when the Roberts-Gorsuch-Kavanaugh Court refused to extend Wisconsin's absentee ballot deadline, forcing people to put their health at risk by voting in person during a pandemic.
Even worse? If nothing changes, these justices could be shaping our nation's laws for decades. A.G. Holder believes -- and we agree -- that Supreme Court justices should no longer receive lifetime appointments. Instead, Congress should pass a law limiting their terms to 18 years.
We need this kind of structural reform to keep America moving forward -- but issues like gerrymandering can't wait till we achieve it. The fight for fair maps is NOW. That's why we're targeting NINE states this November in our effort to beat Republican map manipulators and secure fair maps for all. But we can't do it without your help.
Will you make a donation to help us win the fight for fair maps so our country can live up to its ideals?
