May is Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islanders Heritage Month. I’m proud to pay homage to the vibrant cultures of the AANHPI community.

As we are coming to the end of the month, I want to take a moment to recognize the numerous ways our AANHPI neighbors impact the world around us and acknowledge all the work they do.

In Sacramento County, our AANHPI community enhances our lives everyday. From enterprising small business owners and educators to dedicated first responders and health care professionals, they are supporting our region every step of the way.

As an Executive Board Member for the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus and Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on the Indo-Pacific, I am proud that Congress has come together to address violent hate crimes.

Let’s continue to celebrate our AANHPI community this month, and every month after.
