Welcome back to Team Elise's weekly newsletter! We send a note to Elise's
supporters weekly to update them on what she's working on in Capitol Hill and
across NY-21.


Here are a few top Team Elise updates and stories we have been tracking for
the past week!


Elise Visits Israel and Addresses the Knesset


Elise was invited by Israeli Speaker Amir Ohana to address the Knesset on
Sunday, May 19. In her speech, Elise reaffirmed Republicans’ steadfast support
for Israel, combatting Jewish hate in American education and across the world,
and called for the world to stand with the people of Israel. Read a few
excerpts from Elise’s speech below –


“I have been clear at home and I will be clear here: There is no excuse for
an American President to block aid to Israel – aid that was duly passed by the
Congress, or to ease sanctions on Iran, paying a $6 billion ransom to the
world’s leading state sponsor of terror, or to dither and hide while our
friends fight for their lives. No excuse. Full stop.”


“The majority of Americans support Israel and we always will. Since President
Truman’s recognition of Israel 11 minutes after David Ben-Gurion declared
Israel’s independence 76 years and 5 days ago, America stands with Israel.


We must not let the extremism in so-called ‘elite’ corners conceal the deep,
abiding love for Israel among the American people. Most Americans feel a strong
connection to your people. They have opened their hearts to you in this dark
hour.”

While in Israel, Elise held meetings with Speaker Amir Ohana and President
Isaac Herzog to discuss House Republicans’ unwavering support for Israel in its
fight for survival against the vicious Iran-backed Hamas terrorists. She also
met with Foreign Minister Israel Katz and families of hostages to discuss
efforts to return their loved ones safely.


During a later part of the trip, Elise held discussions with Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister for Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer regarding
Israel’s right to exist and defend itself against the relentless threats from
Iran and its proxies. Major Liad Diamond of the Israel Defense Forces
accompanied Elise to the Tribe of Nova music festival grounds and Kfar Aza, a
kibbutz that experienced severe attacks from Hamas on October 7th. See some

Elise Files Judicial Complaint Against Acting Supreme Court Justice Juan
Merchan


On Tuesday, Elise filed an official judicial complaint with the New York State
Commission on Judicial Conduct against Acting Supreme Court Justice Juan
Merchan for his clear violation of the Rules of Judicial Conduct for the New
York State Unified Court System due to his family directly enriching itself off
this sham trial against President Trump.


Elise has filed multiple complaints to hold radical Leftist judges and
prosecutors accountable for their blatant corruption in weaponizing their
positions against Joe Biden’s leading political opponent – President Donald J.
Trump. See a list of Elise’s legal actions against corrupt Far Left Democrat
officials below:


* In November of 2023, Elise and House Permanent Select Committee on
Intelligence Chairman Mike Turner led a criminal referral demanding Attorney
General Merrick Garland immediately launch a criminal investigation into
Michael Cohen for knowingly making false statements under oath during a
deposition in front of Congress in February of 2019. In May of 2024, Chairwoman
Stefanik co-led a letter with Chairman Mike Turner following up on the
previously filed criminal referral of Michael Cohen.
* Elise filed a complaint against Judge Arthur Engoron in early November 2023
for his inappropriate bias and judicial intemperance in New York’s disgraceful
lawsuit against President Donald J. Trump and the Trump Organization. In
January 2024, Chairwoman Stefanik submitted an additional supplement to her
original complaint against Judge Engoron.
* In early December 2023, Elise filed a complaint of Judicial Misconduct
against Judge Beryl Howell for her highly inappropriate speech where she
insinuated the election of President Trump will lead to fascism in America.
Judge Howell also inappropriately allowed a public display of her cozy personal
relationships with her partisan friends, including the Biden Deputy Attorney
General who supervises the January 6 criminal prosecutions.
* In February 2024, Elise issued a 64-page complaint to the New York
Committee on Professional Standards demanding the disbarment of New York
Attorney General Letitia James for violating “principles of fairness and
impartiality” by engaging in “relentless lawfare” and constant prejudicial
statements on social media against former President Donald Trump.
* In April 2024, Elise filed an official ethics complaint against Jack Smith
with the Department of Justice's Office of Professional Responsibility for
breaking Department of Justice policy and illegally interfering with the 2024
election.

Elise Votes on Israel Security Assistance Support Act


Last Friday, the House took action to rebuke Joe Biden by passing the Israel
Security Assistance Support Act. This legislation admonishes Biden’s decision
to withhold aid and demands that the support approved by Congress is finally
delivered to Israel. Elise released the following statement following her vote –


“It is disgraceful and illegal that Joe Biden is withholding critical military
aid from Israel as they are fighting to eradicate the heinous Iranian backed
terrorist organization Hamas threatening Israel’s very existence. I voted in
support of this important bill to hold Joe Biden accountable and make it clear
that the House Republican Congress does not support Biden’s dangerous and
reckless anti-Israel policies that hurt the national security of Israel and the
United States.”

DISGRACEFUL: Biden Sends Condolences for Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi


On Tuesday, Elise chastised Biden’s State Department for expressing
condolences for the death of Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi, who was known as
“The Butcher of Tehran” for his history of brutality. Elise stated –


“Biden’s State Department expressing condolences for the death of a brutal and
monstrous enemy of America who tortured and killed his own people and led the
charge to fund terrorist proxies around the world that have killed American
soldiers is a new low for Joe Biden.”


“Sec. Blinken’s weak leadership and eagerness to appease the hostile Iranian
regime reflects Biden’s policy of rolling over for our nation's adversaries. It
is unacceptable, unnecessary, and outrageous for the State Department to issue
condolences for the death of an enemy as our soldiers, including service
members of the 10th Mountain Division from Fort Drum fought off Iranian-backed
drone and missile attacks for months while they were deployed to the Middle
East.”

Elise Continues the Fight to Keep AMTRAK Adirondack Line Running


Last week, Elise released a statement on the recent agreement announced by
Amtrak and the Canadian National Railway that would prevent a shutdown of the
Adirondack Line –


“I am proud to announce that following my advocacy, Amtrak and CN have reached
an agreement that will allow them to continue serving Upstate New York and
North Country communities that rely on the Adirondack Line for transportation.
This result will allow tourism to flourish through the summer months,
strengthening economic development in the region and our partnership with our
Canadian neighbors.”

House Leadership Statement on Biden’s Open Borders Immigration Legislation


The Biden Administration and Senate Democrats have refused action on actual
immigration reform since they took office. Now that we have a Republican
majority in the House and President Trump is gaining in the polls, Chuck
Schumer is finally realizing that he can’t keep ignoring the will of the
American people, so he's pushing for his scam bill that would allow millions of
illegals to continue to pour into our country. All while he refuses to take up
House Republicans’ H.R. 2. Elise released the following statement on Monday on
behalf of House Republican Leadership –


"For more than three years now, Congressional Democrats have stood by while
the Biden Administration has opened our borders to criminal drug cartels,
terrorists, and untold millions of illegal immigrants. Now, Leader Schumer is
trying to give his vulnerable members cover by bringing a vote on a bill which
has already failed once in the Senate because it would actually codify many of
the disastrous Biden open border policies that created this crisis in the first
place. Should it reach the House, the bill would be dead on arrival. Since the
beginning of this Congress, the House has passed multiple pieces of bipartisan
legislation to secure the border and deport criminal illegal immigrants,
including the Laken Riley Act. All of them have been blocked by Schumer and
Senate Democrats. The Secure the Border Act (H.R.2), which would end the border
catastrophe by resuming construction of the border wall, ending the
exploitation of parole, reinstating Remain in Mexico, and ending
catch-and-release, has also been collecting dust on Schumer's desk for over a
year. If Senate Democrats were actually serious about solving the problem and
ending the border catastrophe, they would bring up H.R. 2 and pass it this
week."

Reintroduction of Bureau of Prisons Reform Caucus


Elise joined a bipartisan group of 26 representatives to re-launch the Bureau
of Prisons Reform Caucus for the 118th Congress. These representatives are
united in their advocacy for federal law enforcement officers and will work to
ensure greater accountability and transparency from the Bureau. Elise stated –


“As the Representative of the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ Ray Brook, I am proud
to join my colleagues as a member of the Bureau of Prisons Reform Caucus to
address the significant challenges our hardworking correctional officers are
facing such as low staffing and retention issues. These law enforcement
officers put their lives on the line every single day and I am committed to
addressing their staffing, compensation, and retirement issues in Congress.”

House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik, Rep. Anthony

Elise- and E-PAC-endorsed Candidates Win Big in Primary Elections


On Tuesday, House Republicans gained another member to their majority – Vince
Fong, who won the CA-20 special election to complete former Speaker Kevin
McCarthy’s term. Along with Vince's big win, EPAC rising star Monique DeSpain
won the Republican primary for Oregon’s 4th Congressional District, Mike
Erickson won in Oregon’s 6th Congressional District, and Brian Jack, a good
friend of Elise’s, garnered the most votes in Georgia’s 3rd Congressional
