Rick Scott Suggests He Was ‘Persecuted’ Over Giant Medicare Fraud
Pretty rich, isn't it? Rick Scott thinks extremists like himself and Trump are victims of "political persecution" — and not:
* The seniors, working families, and more whose health insurance was swindled by his company as he amassed a quarter-billion-dollar fortune.
* The poll workers and local public officials on the frontlines of politically motivated verbal and physical assaults from those who fall for the "Big Lie."
* The women, families, and medical providers whose futures and even lives are in jeopardy from cruel reproductive health care crackdowns he's spent his political career pushing down our throats.
We could go on, but we think it's clear that to rich extremists like Rick Scott, accountability must feel like persecution when your wealth and privilege have always shielded you from the worst consequences of your actions.
But most Americans are not afforded that luxury.
So if Rick can't deal with the fallout of his corruption, even from a golden parachute flying high above us normal people down here, he needs a new job.
Sadly, there's no chance he resigns anytime soon — so Debbie Mucarsel-Powell needs all the support it'll take for her grassroots campaign to withstand his self-funded attack ads and send him to an early retirement.
