It's still Easter. Churches are streaming their services online from empty sanctuaries, families are connecting over video calls around empty tables, parks are vacant, and yet, there is still much to celebrate.

On the day of resurrection, let's take time to remember those most affected by this crisis.

Let's rejoice for the workers on the frontlines, nurses, doctors, EMTs, and other essential professionals, who have risen to the daunting challenges before them epitomizing selfless devotion. And join with the families who have lost loved ones and those battling the disease from their sickbed at home and in the hospital who are showing courage and strength.

We celebrate communities coming together -- while staying apart -- to help those most in need. Food pantries have seen donations and volunteers flood in, and healthy Americans are donating everything from protective equipment for medical workers to blood to hospitals most in need.

So, while we each celebrate Easter, apart from one another, let's have the faith that our country remains strong and that this crisis can serve to reunite us.
