John, we never thought we’d live to see the widespread banning of books in our country.

Far-right extremists are advancing their agenda by restricting young people's access to diverse knowledge and representation through literature. They claim to protect children, yet when classics like To Kill a Mockingbird or Catcher in the Rye are banned, their true, more sinister motivations become apparent.

Instead of trusting teachers and librarians to decide appropriate reading material, they want to limit our children to books that reinforce their extreme views.

This stifles curiosity and restricts access to information. They aim to censor voices that challenge their power, all while professing support for small government. The fight to preserve access to diverse knowledge is crucial to One Georgia and to us all.
