As the 2020 Census hits mailboxes, I wanted to remind everyone to respond to the census questionnaire -- by mail, by phone, or online here: https://my2020census.
The census count is of huge importance. We need every person in North Carolina to be counted to ensure that we get our fair share of political representation in Congress and our fair share of federal resources.
But so far North Carolina is far behind the national average in the percentage of people who have already responded.
The last day to self-report the census is April 30. Click here to complete your census questionnaire today.
After receiving my census in the mail, it took me less than ten minutes to complete it online. Those few minutes were well worth the prospect of a North Carolina with fairer maps and better representation in policy and funding.
