Callie Barr contested more than half of our nomination petitions in an attempt to remove Bob from the ballot. The BOE rejected her claims in their entirety.
Ms. Barr blatantly and intentionally disregarded election law.
While legitimate challenges are essential to combat fraud, Barr abused the process as a dirty political weapon. This was a desperate tactic. It attacked Dr. Lorinser's integrity and insulted voters as it attempted to dismiss the will of thousands of legitimate voters without discernible cause.
The failed attempt to disenfranchise voters should not go unanswered.
We do not need more politicians who try to abuse the Democratic process. We need candidates like Dr. Bob Lorinser, who prioritizes honesty and integrity above everything else and strives to earn the Democratic nomination through merit, not manipulation.
The Michigan Board of State Canvassers will meet on May 31 to approve ballots. In the meantime, we need your help staying above the negativity. Your generosity goes a long way toward covering our expenses in fighting this frivolous challenge. Help us elect dignified leadership.
