Is Rishi Sunak being honest with you about his record in power? No. He says the cost of living crisis is ‘normal’. It isn’t. He says high taxes and low growth are ‘normal’. They aren’t. He claims he got inflation down. He didn’t.

John xxxxxx,

Is Rishi Sunak being honest with you about his record in power? No. He says the cost of living crisis is ‘normal’. It isn’t. He says high taxes and low growth are ‘normal’.
They aren’t. He claims he got inflation down. He didn’t.

Rishi Sunak is selling a fantasy. The Tories have had 14 years to fix our
nation’s roof. Instead, they smashed the window, kicked the door in and burnt
the house down.

Here’s the honest truth about Rishi Sunak’s record in power, in ten words:

Our country is poorer and working people are worse off.

Labour is far more ambitious for Britain than this. This ambition is rooted in a
very simple promise: I will never play fast and loose with your money.

Because I understand the importance of an iron grip on finances. And so does the Labour HQ team. Labour means business and we are doing
everything to make sure we win this general election.

Financially, our campaign is on the backfoot. We know how important it is to
raise money and spend it well throughout the campaign, making the absolute most
of every single pound to plaster our message of change across the country.

Donate today, and I promise you now, we’ll make it count:

I know what it takes to run a successful economy. Only Labour will deliver the economic stability, the investment and the reform
necessary to do it.

Because we know how important it is that whoever is running the public finances
has an iron grip on them, because when they don’t, like Rishi Sunak doesn’t and
Liz Truss before him, it is families who are forced to pick up the bill.

We cannot afford another 5 years of Tory economic vandalism.

If Labour is privileged enough to win government and run a successful economy,
we have to win this General Election. I know that times are tough, but I must
ask, if you are able, please donate whatever you can spare to the campaign fund
today.

Thank you,

Rachel Reeves,
Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer
