Wyoming Continues Legal Fight Against Biden Energy War
With the recent news that the BLM has published a new resource management plan that would *ban all coal leasing in the Powder River Basin* [ [link removed] ], I want to emphasize that my administration will continue to fight back against the the Biden Administration's unrelenting attack on Wyoming's core industries. While we file a written protest and await a final record of decision, we are also preparing to fight this matter in the courts.
I have also authorized the release of $300,000 of Coal Litigation Funds to the Wyoming Energy Authority to assist in Wyoming’s litigation efforts. This will go towards Wyoming’s challenges of President Biden’s Environmental Protection Agency rules.
Finally, Wyoming has *joined a 19-state lawsuit* [ [link removed] ] against California and four other states who have sued energy companies and threaten to impose ruinous penalties and coercive remedies that would affect energy and fuel consumption and production across the country, including Wyoming. I will not idly stand by when other states use their own policies to dictate energy policies in Wyoming and other states.
Wyoming Sportsperson Conservation Forum leads thoughtful dialogue
The Wyoming Sportsperson Conservation Forum showed Wyoming citizens’ desire to engage in conversations about complex topics surrounding our wildlife and habitat. I want to thank the panelists and attendees for sharing thoughtful opinions and engaging in constructive dialogue. Wyoming's voices should lead these conversations, and I look forward to addressing these challenges together going forward.

All-the-above energy policy clears way for WY nuclear

Wyoming continues to lead the way in energy, with exciting developments happening in Kemmerer with the *TerraPower [ [link removed] ] *project, as well as a resurgence in uranium and rare earth mining.
I visited *BWX Technologies, Inc. [ [link removed] ]* (BWXT) in Lynchburg, Virginia and met with employees to discuss the company’s collaboration with the State of Wyoming. As a recipient of *Wyoming Energy Authority [ [link removed] ]* Energy Matching Funds, BWXT nuclear microreactor system engineering work has incredible potential to contribute to the state’s energy economy and our country’s energy security.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month
5 pillars [ [link removed] ]
*May is Mental Health Awareness Month. [ [link removed] ] *I will continue our work to elevate the conversation about behavioral health care in Wyoming and to embrace a philosophical and cultural shift. We have a culture deeply rooted in independence and self-reliance, one that fosters a narrative of “pull yourself up by your bootstraps.”
Let's work to create a culture of resilience and acceptance that supports a new narrative of “it’s okay to not be okay.”

“"I promise that the State of Wyoming will fully utilize the opportunities available to kill or modify this Record of Decision before it is signed and final. The issues we face globally right now are too important and too urgent to dither away with incoherent policies and wrongheaded initiatives. As with the other attacks on Wyoming’s fossil fuel industries, the Attorney General is actively pursuing options to challenge these destructive decisions" [ [link removed] ].” - "Governor Mark Gordon"
