Things are heating up in your Texas state parks! When the weather gets warm, we need places to cool off. See where you can go to enjoy paddling, swimming, fishing and more fun summer activities.

Make reservations for day passes up to 30 days before your visit or book up to 5 months in advance for overnight stays. If your plans change, please modify or cancel your reservation so someone else can enjoy the park. 

Paddling

One of the best ways to beat the summer heat is to get on the water! Always wear a life jacket and follow these tips to stay safe on the water.

Rent Canoes, Paddleboards or Kayaks
Don't have your own way to get on the water? Visit one of these parks with paddling rentals. Check out all of the Texas Paddling Trails for more parks where you can paddle.

Swimming

A refreshing dip in the water is one of the best ways to cool off from the Texas heat. Texas state parks offer a full range of swimming options, including spring-fed rivers, lakes, open ocean swims and even swimming pools.
