Dear  john ,

I hope that you and your family are well. As we gear up for Memorial Day weekend, let us always remember that this is not a day about grilling burgers, hanging out by the pool, or taking time off from work – it’s about honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.

I introduced a resolution this month with Senator Tommy Tuberville to designate the entire month of May as Fallen Heroes Memorial Month - We all owe a debt of gratitude to the Americans who have bravely given their lives for our nation, and we should honor them for more than just one day each calendar year.

The Fight for Election Integrity

A critical bill to protect our federal elections will soon receive a vote on the House floor – the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which I am a proudly cosponsoring.

Only Americans should vote in our federal elections. This should be simple, noncontroversial, and enforced rigorously. Sadly, that’s not currently the case. While current law makes it illegal for non-citizens to vote in federal elections, states are not required to verify U.S. citizenship before an individual registers to vote.

Essentially, our federal elections are run on the honor system, trusting that illegal immigrants will not simply check a box when registering to vote saying they are U.S. citizens. Even the Associated Press admitted this week that illegal aliens have been found voting in our elections. Many jurisdictions, including Washington D.C., want to explicitly allow them to vote in local elections so they can then use that as a launching pad to allow it on the federal level.

TWEET: Illegal aliens voting in DC elections?

This is shameful and un-American. Combatting this nefarious practice is more important than ever, as Biden has orchestrated a mass invasion of our borders. Millions of illegal aliens have entered, with more arriving daily. It’s long past time that we stop this madness. The SAVE Act will require individuals to prove citizenship when registering to vote and ensuring states remove non-citizens from their existing voter rolls.

TWEET: Biden ushering illegals from Iran, China, et al. straight into the homeland. Coming soon to a city near you.

I’m proud to support the SAVE Act and I hope to see it pass expeditiously.

The Week in Weaponized Government

This week, our hearings in the House Judiciary Committee and the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government focused on the harms and overreach from Biden’s bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF).

They have perpetrated an egregious and aggressive double standard, using any and all means to go after Americans exercising their Second Amendment rights.

In a tragic case, the Executive Director of the Little Rock Airport was fatally shot in the head by ATF agents in a predawn raid at his home earlier this year. There’s been no accountability or explanations from the Bureau, and the difference in response compared to those from local police departments confronting similar incidents is staggering.

Transparency in government is key, and new documents revealed this week show that Dr. Fauci and his cronies utilized every avenue, including mass-deleting emails, to try and prevent the American people from seeing the truth about the origins of covid.

This is what leftist governance will get you – and we can never afford to have that level of hysteria and villainy running our government again.

TWEET: The cover-up.

New unsealed documents also show that the FBI authorized the use of deadly force in the raid on Mar-a-Lago. The Biden FBI was happy to send armed agents into President Trump’s home with authority to shoot to kill over some paperwork.

Biden’s policy is to use every lever of government to go after his political rivals. It’s an affront to every value we hold dear.
