Dear Supporter,

The 2024 general election is fast approaching, and it’s crucial that women's voices are front and centre.

We’re thrilled to have you as a supporter and your involvement has never been more vital. That’s why I'm calling on you to take the next step in your journey with the Fawcett Society by becoming a member today. ([link removed])

For our members, we’ve created an exclusive GE24 Campaigning Action Pack. This powerful tool is designed to equip our members with everything they need to make a significant impact this election period. By joining us, you gain access to this invaluable resource to campaign and put women’s rights at the top of the agenda.

With our members and supporters campaigning alongside us, we've worked tirelessly to ensure that policies reflect the true needs of women across the UK. Here’s what we’ve achieved together so far:

* Childcare Reform: We’ve heard you – the childcare system is not fit for purpose. Our influential reports and '10-point plan' for childcare reform have garnered national attention and driven crucial policy discussions.

* Workplace Equality: We campaigned for and won the Worker Protection Act, ensuring women are safer from harassment at work. Our advocacy for flexible working rights, along with research on menopause and ethnicity pay gaps, and our work with Fawcett East London to ban salary history questions, are reshaping workplace norms and sparking change.

* Women’s Representation in Politics: We’re challenging misogyny through initiatives like the A House for Everyone research and highlighting key issues, such as our recent research showing only 34% of councillors in the recent local elections were women. Our Zero-Misogyny Pledge is gaining traction, with candidates signing, committing them to taking a zero misogyny approach to campaigning this election period.

But there’s still so much to be done, and we need you to join us. By becoming a member ([link removed]) , you’ll gain access to the GE24 Campaigning Action Pack and join a powerful collective force fighting for gender equality.

The time for action is now. By joining the Fawcett Society, you’re not just supporting a cause—you’re becoming part of a movement that’s shaping the future for women across the UK.

In solidarity,

Jemima Olchawski | CEO
