Hi, today marks the second anniversary of the devastating school shooting in Uvalde.

2 years ago today, nineteen children who should have been safe at school were killed by senseless gun violence.

Our students deserve to be able to come to school and learn in classrooms without the fear of gun violence. Parents deserve to be able to drop their kids off at school or daycare without fearing for their child’s life.

It is unacceptable that this isn’t the reality in Texas and the rest of this country.

My faith has taught me to love my neighbor and to fight for what is right. Enough is enough. We need common-sense gun safety legislation like universal background checks and red flag laws to finally put an end to senseless gun violence.

South Texans deserve a leader who will fight for our families. I’m running for Congress to defend our community and fight for gun violence prevention. I’ll never stop fighting to make our schools, places or worship, and neighborhoods safer. Enough is enough.
