Efforts to overturn election results are happening at the state and federal levels.
* A Pennsylvania judge rejected ([link removed]) a request from the Centre County GOP chair to disqualify mail-in ballots with undated or misdated outer envelopes. The state is now able to certify its statewide primary election results, a process delayed by this case.
* Republicans are already preparing to contest the outcome of the 2024 election. We have entered a dangerous period of asymmetrical election denialism and the peaceful transfer of power is at stake, Marc writes. Read it here. ([link removed])
Congressional Republicans continue to crank out bills banning noncitizen voting.
* House Republicans advanced ([link removed]) their nationwide proof of citizenship bill out of committee. The House also passed a bill to repeal a Washington, D.C. law that allows noncitizens to vote in local elections only.
* Republicans claim that noncitizens are overwhelmingly voting in federal elections. The issue with their statements is that they’re not true. In our latest YouTube video, Marc explains why the GOP has latched onto this lie. Watch it here. ([link removed])
Republicans push for stricter voter ID requirements in New Hampshire and Nevada.
* New Hampshire's Republican-controlled Legislature passed ([link removed]) a bill to eliminate the ability of election officials to verify a voter's identity or citizenship through means outside of photo identification. The bill heads to Gov. Chris Sununu (R).
* The Nevada Supreme Court cleared ([link removed]) the way for a measure to implement strict voter ID rules to be placed on the November ballot. A lawsuit alleged that the ballot measure's language is misleading.
In a win for voters: Spanish speakers in Rhode Island will have more voting assistance.
* Voters in Pawtucket, Rhode Island will have increased access to Spanish-language voter assistance after the Justice Department entered ([link removed]) an agreement with the city requiring it to develop a voting program for those with limited English proficiency.
