Sincerely, Gary Palmer Standing with Israel and Against Antisemitism When President Biden shows indecision and weakness to our enemies around the world, our friends suffer. The attacks against Israel by the Hamas terrorist group and the slaughter of Israeli citizens justifies Israel’s determination to eliminate Hamas in Gaza. The failed leadership of the Biden administration is not only encouraging these attacks abroad, but it is causing chaos here at home. College campuses across the nation have been taken over with antisemitic and anti-American protests. Ironically, these antisemitic and anti-American protests are being funded by the same people and organizations that fund left-wing politicians. Let me be clear, antisemitism has no place in our country. The Biden administration should condemn these protests, stop withholding Congressionally appropriated funds for military aid to Israel, and show that the United States stands with Israel. Yellowhammer: Gary Palmer: Campus protests part of a ‘vast left wing conspiracy’ Yellowhammer: Reps. Aderholt, Carl, Palmer demand answers from Biden about halting aid to Israel 1819 News: Members of Alabama's federal delegation celebrate Israel Independence Day — 'America will always stand with Israel' Exposing NPR's Bias Earlier this month, I participated in a hearing focusing on the political bias found in National Public Radio (NPR). The old saying of ‘he who pays the piper calls the tune’ rings true with NPR, because as I pointed out in the hearing, the content of NPR is driven by its revenue sources. Many of the same organizations funding NPR are the same ones supporting Democrat candidates and funding Pro-Palestine protests on our college campuses. As a result, NPR has turned into a propaganda machine supporting the political agenda of left-wing billionaires and Democrat politicians. You can watch my questioning here or by clicking the video below. We Must Unleash American Energy President Biden has been waging war on American energy since his first day in office. In the last few months alone, this administration has wasted taxpayer funds on ‘green bank’ grants, raised the cost to drill for oil on public lands, and paused American exports on liquified natural gas (LNG). Instead of unleashing American energy, Biden and Congressional Democrats are restricting it. As a result, energy costs are rising, and we have become more reliant on other nations for the resources we have here at home. The Energy & Commerce Subcommittee on Environment, Manufacturing, and Critical Materials held a hearing with Administrator Michael Regan of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regarding the EPA's budget. I engaged Administrator Regan with some very important questions about why the EPA has such a such a large budget for military weapons and equipment. I also pointed out to Administrator Regan that the EPA is making laws through regulations and rules which he disputed. When I asked him whether or not an individual who did not comply with an EPA regulation or rule would be guilty, he answered they would. My point was that the EPA has been bypassing Congress and making laws in violation of the Constitution’s Article I Separation of Powers which reserves lawmaking to Congress. In addition, the EPA’s tax on methane is taxation without representation and in violation of, again, the power to raise revenues through taxation which is reserved only to Congress and must originate in the House as set forth in the Constitution. Watch my questioning of Administrator Regan by clicking the video above. Securing our Borders Our southern border is in crisis, and President Biden is doing nothing to fix it. Recently, it has been exposed that the Biden administration has been using taxpayer funds to fly illegal immigrants into our nation. Not only is he enabling the border crisis, but he is now encouraging it. This is unacceptable. It has been over a year since the House passed H.R. 2, our border security bill. Senator Chuck Schumer, the Democrat Senate Majority Leader, has done nothing to advance it in the Senate while lamely trying to blame Republicans for the catastrophe at our borders. Every American citizen should understand that even without this bill, Biden has the ability to secure our borders. He just doesn’t want to. The longer our borders are unsecure, the more Americans are put in danger. My House GOP colleagues and I are working hard to pressure Biden into taking the action needed. Yellowhammer: Gary Palmer: Joe Biden is ‘the most dangerously destructive president in the history of the United States’ 1819: Britt, Aderholt, Palmer, Tuberville decry U.S. Senate's rejection of Mayorkas impeachment — 'It’ll be a lasting disservice to our Republic' If you wish to share your thoughts or comments regarding legislation, please email me using this link from my website or call our D.C. office at (202) 225-4921.
