Hello,

In the final hour of session, Democrats committed an appalling abuse of power. They rammed a 1,400-page bill through both the House and Senate in under 30 minutes, completely ignoring Republicans as we called for the rules of the Senate to be followed. We weren’t even able to review the bill before it passed.

Legislators are elected to be the voice of the Minnesotans we represent, and Democrats silenced all of us as they abandoned the rules of the Senate. Its clear Democrats are more interested in pursuing their radical ideas than properly representing the voices of Minnesotans.

The bill includes many pieces that are still being discovered, but some of them include:

  • *Ban on binary trigger devices that allow one shot to be fired on the pull of a trigger and a second upon the release of the trigger

  • *Increases in energy costs

  • *Pay raises for political bureaucrats

  • *$730M tax increase

  •

What we witnessed at the end of this session violated public trust and silenced the voice of nearly 50% of the residents of this state. I'm appalled at the way they chose to govern our great state. We must do better and hold them accountable.

Sincerely,

Justin D. Eichorn
