Hey John,

I am sitting in the committee meeting right now as I write this, but I wanted to give you this timely update.

I am here with our Legislative Team at the Republican Party of Texas Convention in San Antonio that will be going on until Saturday.

We have testified over a dozen times so far to the Republican leaders who are writing the party’s Platform and Legislative Priorities list. Let me tell you, it has not been easy.

On the first day of meetings, we ran into the leaders of the group “Right to Win,” which is spreading a petition for the Republican Party to “deprioritize” the Pro-Life issue.

I was in the room on the second day when three of their leaders passionately urged the Platform Committee members to strike all the language “related to abortion.” They argued that if we abandon the Pro-Life issue we will have a higher Republican voter turnout and better election results.

A few minutes later, I was called to testify. What was my message?
>> This is not the time to retreat! Life must remain paramount for Republicans.

Although few conservatives seem to be noticing, the enemy is intensifying their pro-abortion attacks against preborn children and women in Texas. We must take a stand against their efforts to promote and mail abortion pills into our state.

Texas Right to Life organized and empowered grassroots Pro-Lifers across the state to pass local resolutions, calling on Republicans to fight against the illegal abortion pill websites.

Now, our team is here in San Antonio trying to make sure that we are passing clear-cut language in the GOP's Legislative Priorities. This would ensure Republican lawmakers in Austin cannot dodge their responsibility to save preborn children.

Thank you for your prayers, support, and donations that ensure my team and I can be on the front lines.

The Platform and Legislative Priorities are still being determined and we will continue to fight until Saturday afternoon. Please keep us in your prayers and stay tuned for updates.

Please consider sending a donation right now. Any funds raised over our expenses will be dedicated to our year-round legislative efforts, such as research, writing, speaking, and more.

With your generosity, we can continue pushing for strong policies and ensure our Republican leaders are not taking a single step backward when it comes to saving babies and protecting women.

Rush a gift to our Legislative Team in San Antonio today. ([link removed])

Defending Life with you,
P.S. Honestly, John, if my team and I were not here, I am afraid the Republican committees would not have had the support to reject compromising or vague language that would have been ineffective in fighting back the new abortion clinics: illegal websites. I am thankful your donations allowed us to be here.
