From Walmart to Target, some of America’s biggest stores recently announced that they’re slashing prices on thousands of items to help ease the pain of inflation.Â
Â
For example, Target’s price tag for a pack of 16 Huggies baby wipes fell from $1.19 to 99 cents. Not bad when we’re all desperate for some relief, but the battle against inflation is far from over.
Â
Despite the mumbo-jumbo Democrats try to peddle about corporate greed and shrinkflation, Americans know where to point the finger when it comes to this issue. Inflation has been up a staggering 20% since Biden took office, and it’s trickled into every corner of our lives.Â
Â
Need a refresher? Here are some of the receipts:
- Grocery prices are up 21% from the start of 2021.
- Energy prices, particularly the cost of electricity, have soared nearly 30% since 2021.
- Home prices are up more than 20% since 2021, crushing the American dream of home ownership, but the rental market has also seen prices surge nearly 30% over the last four years.
There’s no beating around the bush here, folks: Inflation came barreling toward us like a freight train under the Biden administration. They can try to explain it away, but polls show most Americans agree on the topic of whether they’re better off today. The answer is a resounding “no,” and it’s easy to see why.
Â
Skyrocketing inflation has put the pressure on most households, and paying more for everyday necessities like food and housing will undoubtedly be top of mind at the ballot box.
Â
Americans must carefully consider their quality of life before casting their votes in the upcoming election. This is much bigger than statistics and percentages; it’s about the real-life impact on our wallets and families.
Â
When you step into the voting booth, remember this everyday struggle to make ends meet and the Biden administration’s promises that were more like pipe dreams.
Â
Your vote is your voice; November 5, 2024, is judgment day.
