I hope you had a chance to tune in to our CA42 Virtual Town Hall on Coronavirus Response earlier today. You can watch the video here .
We heard from Dr. Rick Loftus, a physician on the front lines treating coronavirus patients, and Kate Schwartz, a behavioral healthcare professional and the Democratic candidate for State Assembly District 75 in California. I offered some historical context, and discussed some needed policy changes, like requiring paid sick leave in every state.
I especially want to thank Tisa Rodriguez, chair of the Riverside County Democratic Party, for graciously moderating and facilitating.
I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer to HOPE, a food pantry sponsored by The Dream Center in Lake Elsinore. Please donate here . Additional resources about coronavirus response are available on Kate's website.
Please consider donating to one of these efforts to assist frontline health care professionals in the Inland Empire - to help with face shields, go here, to help with face masks, go here and to donate to a national fund for face masks, go here.
Remember, you can watch the video of the CA42 Virtual Town Hall here.
