Dear friends,

As I woke up this morning, my heart felt heavier than ever, burdened by the weight of grief and frustration. Today marks the anniversary of one of the darkest days in American history, a day when 21 innocent lives were senselessly taken at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas – a hollow echo of my own loss four years earlier, when my beloved son Luke was torn away from me forever.

And just one week earlier, we solemnly remembered the six-year anniversary of another devastating school massacre in Santa Fe, Texas.

The tears I shed for Luke, for those lost in Uvalde, for the bright promising lives snuffed out in Santa Fe High School, and for every victim of senseless violence are still fresh.

We need responsible gun ownership in Texas, and our nation as a whole, urgent reforms to prevent tragedies like these from ever happening again. The reality is, we're on the front lines of a battle for our nation’s children and teachers.

Yet, despite the passage of time and the heart-wrenching pleas of grieving families, Texas officials have failed to implement significant measures to address the root causes of school violence. Instead of prioritizing the safety and well-being of our children , they have chosen complacency, leaving our communities vulnerable to further tragedy.

Bipartisan agreements must be the path forward – we have to come together and work on behalf of the American people.

We cannot allow this indifference to continue. We owe it to the victims and their families to honor their memories with action. Change is not only possible but imperative. We cannot afford to wait for the next tragedy to take action. We must demand accountability from our elected officials and advocate tirelessly for safer schools.

We need you to let your representatives in Congress know you want to see real action on school safety. Click here [[link removed]] to urge them to support the passage of the EAGLES Act, or make your voice heard by supporting our work with a donation. [[link removed]]

Friend, WE have the power to help protect more children and teachers from firearm violence. Together, let us turn our grief into action and create a safer world for our children.
