But what actually is Campaign Camp? We're glad you asked.
Campaign Camp is an intensive program designed to support and train a diverse community of activists, volunteers, candidates, and campaign staff.
During your time at Campaign Camp, you will learn about topics like fundraising, communications tactics, voter contact, and so much more from experienced activists, organizers, and campaigners.
Basically, Camp is for anyone interested in learning about running a campaign. This includes organizers, activists, experienced candidates, and people considering a run for office. We even know of some participants who decided to run for office after attending!
Programs like WFP’s Campaign Camp are so valuable because they help train and grow grassroots leaders throughout the country who are fighting for what our communities need — and gets us closer to achieving our dream of building a multiracial populist movement.
Campaign Camp is fully virtual and runs on weekday evenings, two nights per week, from June 4th to June 27th. And hey, we get it — life's busy. You don't have to commit to every single session. Feel free to pick and choose what works best for you based on your interests and availability. Local teams are encouraged to arrange additional in-person gatherings if there's interest so you may still get a chance to have some face time with your fellow Campers.
