Friend,
In order to effectively combat the coronavirus pandemic, we need to put politics aside and do what is right for our communities. We are seeing our leaders and community members pull together and enact creative solutions to keep our people safe. That’s why I am outraged to see that Governor Dunleavy is restricting access to abortion procedures, using a false pretext to advance a political agenda.
It's already difficult for women to access reproductive health care, especially here in Alaska. The last thing we need is politicians interfering in time-sensitive personal decisions between a woman and her doctor. In this time of uncertainty and economic instability, it is more critical than ever that we empower and trust women to make decisions about their bodies and their families.
I want to hear from you: Are you opposed to Governor Dunleavy’s decision to restrict abortion access? Share your thoughts today.

According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology, abortion is an essential medical procedure and they oppose efforts to restrict it, especially during a public health crisis. Access to reproductive care is a vital component of healthy communities and families. We must listen to experts, not play politics with women’s health.
