With the June deadline right around the corner, the 2024–25 state budget fight is heating up in Harrisburg. Gov. Josh Shapiro’s proposed budget has a massive price tag that will inevitably lead to tax hikes.

Meanwhile, Senate Republicans just passed a historic tax cut. Moreover, Senate leaders have made it clear they want to provide kids a way to escape failing schools with Lifeline Scholarships as part of a budget deal.

So, what kind of budget will Pennsylvania end up with? A big spending plan paving the way to higher taxes? Or a budget that lowers taxes and gives struggling students an opportunity to attend better schools?

We’re gearing up a major push for Harrisburg to pass a fiscally responsible budget that also expands educational freedom. But we’re up against powerful opposition.

Shapiro promised to support measures like cutting the corporate tax rate and expanding educational freedom with Lifeline Scholarships. Now is the time to make sure he keeps those promises with the budget.

Will you help us hold Governor Shapiro accountable to his promises with a donation of $5, $10, or $15 right now?
