James, for over seven months, President Biden has failed to end the flow of weapons and funding to Netanyahu’s military. He has failed to broker a permanent Ceasefire to end the slaughter of tens of thousands of Palestinians and the mass starvation that over a million people are facing in Gaza — including hundreds of thousands of children. The Biden administration’s policy on Gaza and Israel has been a moral failing.
Biden’s refusal to save lives and make peace in Gaza could hand the election to Trump. A new poll reported by The Intercept shows that 20% of Democrats and Independents in swing states are less likely to vote for Biden after his handling of the war in Gaza. It also shows that 40% of Democrats and Independents would be more likely to vote for the president if he conditioned aid to Israel and brokered a permanent Ceasefire.
What’s stopping Biden from calling for a permanent Ceasefire and an end to U.S. support for Netanyahu’s atrocities? It’s the moral choice AND the electorally strategic choice. Biden must act now to save lives — no more excuses!

Bernie advocated for an end to unconditional funding for Israel and called out Israel’s breaches of international law months ago. He’s also warned that if Biden continues his policies in Gaza, and keeps sending bombs to Netanyahu, Biden could lose the election to Trump in November.
This polling makes that reality clear, unless Biden changes course. It’s time for Biden to listen to the American people, and his coalition of supporters, and stand up for Palestinians.
