Pacers and Racers: It’s a great time to be a Hoosier Sports Fan!

This weekend is packed with action as we cheer on our Pacers in the NBA playoffs and gear up for the Indianapolis 500.


The Indy 500 doesn’t just attract thousands of fellow Americans to our state; it’s a massive boost to our local economy. Clare Clark, senior communications manager for Indianapolis Visit Indy tourism arm, discusses below the $5.8 billion impact of tourist events like the Indy 500 on the local economy.


The NBA playoffs coinciding with the 108th running of the Indianapolis 500 will have an even more significant economic benefit for Hoosiers!

Memorial Day 2024

While this is an exciting time for Indiana, let’s remember what Memorial Day is all about. It is an opportunity for us all to take a moment to reflect on and honor our fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom.


This Monday, May 27th, 2024, marks Memorial Day and an opportunity to remember and honor the thousands of Hoosier heroes who gave their lives to protect our freedom and way of life.


For those able, we encourage you to attend the American Legion’s annual 500 Festival Memorial Service. This event will be held on Friday, May 24th, 2024, on the north steps of the Indiana War Memorial and is free to the public.
