safety-course

Make your first boating outing in Maine this season a boater safety course!

Maine's new boater education law went into effect on the first of the year, a big step toward increasing safety for everyone who recreates on our waters. Maine is now one of 45 states that requires some level of boating education. You can find specific requirements at the link below.

Taking a boating safety and education course does a lot more than check a box to get you on the water. It will help you prepare for emergencies, navigate Maine's waters, get to know your boat, understand the laws, and protect Maine's clean water. Most importantly, it will make boating season for you and your passengers a safe one.
