UK registered micro, small and medium enterprises in the creative sector can apply for funding of between ?10,000 and ?30,000 for innovation projects to grow their business. This funding is from the Department for Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS).
DCMS has expanded the regions since the launch of the programme and now includes Nottingham and Nottinghamshire
The programme support package will comprise of three complementary strands:
- Business support targeted at the creative industries
- Finance
- Investor capacity building activities
The aim of this competition is to provide a package of targeted support to high-growth creative businesses to scale, build investor networks and reach their potential. This funding is designed to help creative businesses explore new innovation projects as a stimulus for growth.
Key points:
- Must be a micro, small or medium size enterprise registered in a DCMS Create Growth Programme region
- The competition has a funding limit, so they may not be able to fund all the proposed projects - ?3m has been allocated
- Grants between ?10,000 and ?30,000
- Can claim 100% of eligible costs
- Applicants notified by 25th July
- Projects must commence by 1st Nov and end by 31st March 2025
- Projects must offer an innovative and ambitious idea which demonstrates a clear growth opportunity

Producing labels for food is a complicated and frequently difficult undertaking, with severe consequences for non-compliance.?
The webinar will walk producers through the FSA rules, help producers with their unique products and labelling needs, and guide them through the FSA regulations.
For further support within this area, you may wish to book onto our half day workshop which will be held at Southglade Food Park, you will be able to bring with you examples of your work for analysis also.

Richard is also qualified to Health and Safety NEBOSH Certificate & Level 4 in Sustainable Practices for Food Businesses.

The Midlands Engine Investment Fund II launched in February this year. The fund offers a range of commercial finance options with smaller loans from ?25,000 to ?100,000, debt finance from ?100,000 to ?2 million and equity investment up to ?5 million.
The fund aims to build on the success of the first Midlands Engine Investment Fund and continue to increase the supply and diversity of early-stage finance for smaller business across the whole of the Midlands.
