Dear John
This innocent pony, Bailey, is being forced to perform in Peter Jolly's Circus. Like Bailey, many animals across the UK are being forced to learn degrading tricks, perform night after night, and travel long distances in the back of trailers. They are denied basic needs, and aren't allowed to express their natural behaviours. It is no life for an animal.
Past investigations into this circus have uncovered neglectful conditions that breach legal requirements, and the abuse animals held captive there have endured; such as overcrowding and animals tethered for up to 40 hours.
Since the wild animals in circuses ban, sadly not much has changed.
We've recently witnessed goats, llamas, geese and horses being manipulated and forced to perform cruel tricks in front of the crowds by Peter Jolly's Circus.
But you can help! There is an upcoming protest being held by local activists outside Peter Jolly's Circus in Redditch - B98 9BJ - from the 23rd May-2nd June. Head to their Facebook event page here!
