Dear John

This innocent pony, Bailey, is being forced to perform in Peter Jolly's Circus. Like Bailey, many animals across the UK are being forced to learn degrading tricks, perform night after night, and travel long distances in the back of trailers. They are denied basic needs, and aren't allowed to express their natural behaviours. It is no life for an animal.

Past investigations into this circus have uncovered neglectful conditions that breach legal requirements, and the abuse animals held captive there have endured; such as overcrowding and animals tethered for up to 40 hours.

Since the wild animals in circuses ban, sadly not much has changed.

We've recently witnessed goats, llamas, geese and horses being manipulated and forced to perform cruel tricks in front of the crowds by Peter Jolly's Circus.

But you can help! There is an upcoming protest being held by local activists outside Peter Jolly's Circus in Redditch - B98 9BJ - from the 23rd May-2nd June. Head to their Facebook event page here!

JOIN THE PROTEST AND TAKE ACTION FOR ANIMALS!

Peter Jolly's isn't the only circus that continues to exploit animals. Both Circus Mondao and Gifford's Circus also use animals relentlessly in their performances. Can you take action against them when they come to town?

Circus Mondao:
22-27 May - Carmarthen -  The Showground, Nantyci, Carmarthen, SA33 5DR
29 May - 2 June - Tenby - Address not yet announced

Gifford's Circus:
23 May - 3 June - Blenheim Palace - Woodstock, OX20 1PP
6-23 June - Chiswick House - Burlington Ln, Chiswick, London W4 2RP

We can support you setting up your own protest, by offering free campaign materials!
HELP TO FUEL THE FIGHT FOR FREEDOM!

If you are unable to join a demonstration, please consider joining us as a Freedom Champion, to help us fuel the fight against animal circuses!

- By giving £5 a month, you could equip 10 grassroots groups with materials to demonstrate outside of an animal circus, turning customers away from this cruelty.
- By giving £10 a month, you could help power our ongoing work with whistleblowers, uncovering the hidden truth of animal suffering and taking action to secure real change.
- By giving £20 a month, you could help to fund one undercover investigation to expose the horrors of captivity and enable us to seek justice for vulnerable animals

Not everyone is aware that animals continue to suffer in UK circuses, and we want everyone to know the truth. With your vital help I know we can achieve this, and stop the cruelty.

Thank you for everything you do for animals and for continuing to be by our side. We will fight for the forgotten animals in circuses, until all are free!

For the animals,

Laura Walton
