Hey John,
I just wrapped up my final work emails for the day. I have a few more campaign items to handle tonight, but wanted to send you a note before I squeeze in a quick dinner.
Do you recall President Obama’s parting words on his last day in office? He reminded us that our democracy isn’t defined by the buildings or monuments in Washington, it’s about your commitment to improving things, listening to one another, debating, uniting, canvassing, making calls, and treating everyone with respect. This effort never stops. This moment is just a brief pause, a comma in the ongoing story of building America.
The future of our country relies on people like you and me continuously working together, respecting each other, and making efforts to improve our society.
As your congresswoman, I will never stop pushing for progress because I believe that together, we are powerful and can make a difference. John, I need you all to join me and stay committed in this grassroots effort to create lasting change.

After dinner, I plan on relaxing with a nice cup of tea then I’ll rest and be back at it, ready to hit the ground running tomorrow.
Thanks for listening and take care,
Lauren
