By now you have seen that Bernie Sanders has suspended his campaign for the 2020 Democratic presidential primary. This is not the outcome we wanted, and many of us are asking what's next.
The answer is, there is still much more work to be done. To keep the movement that he led, alive. Nothing ends today. Bernie inspired me and so many of us, to believe that a better world is absolutely possible.
Thank you, Bernie, for helping raise the crucial issues of our time, pushing to the forefront of our political debate a bold progressive vision for our country.
Bernie didn't do it for himself. He did it for Us.
He did it to help deliver real justice to the working families, to the frontline and fenceline communities, to all Americans no matter where they come from.
John, you know as well as I do, that Bernie was different than any other candidate for President we've seen in our lifetime. You and I are like millions of Americans who saw what the Democratic Party could be. You and I understand that economic security and health care are fundamental rights that can be afforded to every American. We know that as long as there is injustice anywhere, there is a threat to justice everywhere.
