“Supreme Court Sides With Republicans Over South Carolina Voting Map”
—The New York Times
|
John, the U.S. Supreme Court just voted to allow South Carolina’s congressional map to stand — reversing a lower court ruling that had determined it to be a “stark racial gerrymander.”
You and I both know that this Court has been no friend to voting rights. We’ve seen them make shameful rulings to roll back our freedoms time and time again.
We are not powerless. There is a path forward. We can still make sure this extremist Court doesn't get the final word. And we must. Rush an urgent donation to power the NDR PAC’s work across the country to prevent gerrymandering, secure fair maps, and strengthen our democracy.

While it’s clear we can’t count on the Supreme Court to defend voting rights, we’ve never relied on one court or one ruling to accomplish our goals. We have to do the work ourselves.
That means working alongside partners and affiliates to mobilize thousands of our grassroots supporters against restrictive state measures, continue to press Congress to pass federal legislation protecting voting rights, and elect more Democracy Defenders to office.
We need to make sure we have the resources we need to keep fighting these battles. Will you rush a donation right now to help keep up our fight for voting rights?
More soon,
Biz
