Dear John, I am counting down the days until our coalition of partners, supporters, and allies comes together in New York City for the FairVote Awards on June 3! I am delighted that we will be joined by FairVote Board Chair and leading democracy reformer Danielle Allen, who will serve as emcee for the evening. We will celebrate our honorees and share FairVote’s strategy to secure and sustain ranked choice voting wins. I have several announcements about the evening’s program to share with you. Oregon Attorney General nominee Dan Rayfield (D) and former Virginia House Delegate Chris Saxman (R) will take the stage together to highlight the importance of ranked choice voting as a key reform to get our government back to work. In addition, Forward Party Co-Chair and FairVote Action Board Member Andrew Yang will lift up the reasons to support this vital work. The evening’s energy will be supercharged by a joyful performance of the famed Revival Resistance Chorus and by Andrea McArdle, a Tony Award-winning singer and actress who originated the role of Annie on Broadway. We have a few tickets remaining, which include access to our cocktail reception, full program, and strolling supper. I look forward to having you join me and the FairVote team as we celebrate how far we have come, and set our sights together with our fellow Americans – Republicans, Democrats, and independents – on where we will go and what our country can accomplish with ranked choice voting.
All my best, Meredith Sumpter, President & CEO |
