Last week, Kris Kobach announced his plans to sue the Biden administration over new rules protecting LGBTQ+ students and transgender athletes – right after Kansas Republicans failed to overturn Governor Kelly's veto on their harmful gender-affirming care ban for Trans youth in Kansas.
We have to keep fighting extremism inside and outside of our legislature, and that starts with electing people-first Democrats up and down the ballot in Kansas this November.
Although we protected the rights of Trans Kansans this year, the margins were way too close for comfort, and right-wing extremists are still trying to peel back protections for LGBTQ+ Kansans.
