The revelation of Justice Alito's provocative actions, epitomized by the display of an upside-down American flag at his home, casts serious doubt on his impartiality in critical January 6th-related cases. But today we learned it’s WORSE. It has come to light Justice Alito’s summer home also flew a flag of questionable origin - the “Appeal to Heaven” flag, a symbol carried on Jan. 6 and associated with demands for a Christian-minded government. An impartial judiciary is at the heart of a healthy democracy. When a justice on the highest court in the land flagrantly waves flag(s) demonstrating their dangerous partisan views, we MUST ACT. And it’s not just justice Alito. I am sure you recall Virginia “Ginni” Thomas, the wife of Justice Clarence Thomas, pushing for the overturning of the 2020 election results and alleging election theft? Despite calls for recusal from members of Congress and court ethics experts, Justice Thomas has adamantly refused. This situation is alarming and the consequences dire. Your support is crucial to address this outrageous conflict of interest and demand the recusal of Justices Alito and Thomas from these Jan. 6th cases.
