John, this race is deeply personal to me.

I grew up right here in New Hampshire, I stuck around for college at UNH, and my husband and I raised our three kids here. I’m so grateful for the community we’ve built and been a part of our whole lives.

I’m running because as Mayor and as a mom, I’ve heard from countless Granite Staters who are struggling to get by, who are terrified about the threat of gun violence in our schools, who are worried that abortion access will be stripped away, and who have felt ignored by our state.

It’s time for fresh leadership — not more of the same.

My extreme opponent, Kelly Ayotte, supports Donald Trump’s and his agenda. If Kelly has the chance, she’ll bring his harmful and divisive politics to New Hampshire. But we’re going to stop her.

This is my promise to you: As Governor, I’ll fight for your family and I’ll work as hard as I possibly can to defend and expand our basic rights — from finally codifying abortion rights into law to passing common-sense gun safety legislation to protect our children.
