I have been a paramedic for 33 years and an Instructor for the same amount of time involved with First Aid and CPR training for all walks of life. To train someone to save a life is the greatest gift you can offer someone. Now teaching the STOP THE BLEED® program has become a priority for schools and general public safety. I have successfully trained over 500 people and instilled a wonderful gift of saving someone’s life in a bleeding emergency.
Training is at the heart of the STOP THE BLEED® campaign and STOP THE BLEED® Instructors are the ones that make the heart beat! The Instructor Spotlight shines a bright light on individuals engaging their communities about STOP THE BLEED®.

I am passionate about STOP THE BLEED® because knowledge is power. In our evolving world of violence and trauma, educating people to be prepared to care for themselves and others is critical. From children to the elderly, a difference can be made. Empowering communities is imperative. As an ED nurse/Forensic Nurse, I have seen many violent and traumatic events. The impact STOP THE BLEED® has made- and continues to make- to save lives and empower life, is something that I want to be dedicated to. Our reach from the ED extends to law enforcement, indigent populations, community events, and EMS (including rural communities) lacking resources for STOP THE BLEED® and we can provide this.
