Nearly half of Americans report feeling alone, with a lack of meaningful social interactions on a daily basis. Experts say social disconnection is as bad for you as smoking and being physically inactive.
Yesterday, we released the 13th annual ParkScore® index, which shows that people living in cities with the highest rankings are more socially connected and engaged than residents of cities with lower rankings. We measured the 100 most populous cities in five categories: access, investment, amenities, acreage, and equity.
