Indivisibles,

There’s been a lot of hyperventilating about polls recently, but as we
always say -- polling is instructive, not predictive.

So while others focus on the top lines (Biden trailing in some crucial
swing states), we’re looking deeper at how we erode Trump’s slight lead
and make sure the closest he gets to the White House next year is the
federal courtroom downtown.

And there’s one thing showing up in the latest polling that’s really
caught our eye:

A lot of voters aren’t aware that Trump is responsible for overturning Roe
and eliminating the constitutional right to abortion.

In fact, the recent New York Times poll shows 17% of voters blame Biden!

For those, like you, paying close attention to Trump literally bragging
“I’m the one who got rid of Roe v. Wade,” that’s probably infuriating to
see. But here’s the thing: It’s also a huge opportunity.

Trump's lead largely comes from voters who aren't paying close attention
to the election yet -- including voters who strongly support abortion
rights (like the majority of Americans). If we can fill this information
gap, we can help bring these voters back into our camp.

We're planning on doing just that. With the anniversary of
the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe coming up next month, we’re
planning a weekend of action, and Indivisible groups across the country
are preparing hundreds of local events to focus public attention on MAGA’s
attacks on reproductive rights.

We want these events to be as big and splashy as possible, so we’re
providing groups with a wide range of support including trainings,
recruitment, and press and social media toolkits. We're also providing
reimbursements for groups to help pay for big visuals that’ll play well on
local and national news.

We're planning to provide $15,000 in funding for groups across the country
-- and more if we can -- but we need the support of grassroots donors to
help make it happen. [ [link removed] ]If you're able to pitch in, please click here to

As Indivisible Co-founder Ezra Levin wrote in a recent email:

An election win begins with defining for voters what this election is
about. Before we even get to getting out the vote, winning this year
depends on defining what this election is about for voters. If I had my
way, it would be impossible to turn on the TV, open up a newspaper, or
listen to the radio without hearing reports on MAGA attacking our
democracy and abortion rights. All of the polling, focus groups, and
message testing that we’ve seen tells us that if voters are thinking about
abortion and MAGA extremism, we’re going to win.

Events like the Weekend of Action will be crucial for breaking through to
voters who aren't paying attention to the election right now. We'll be
simultaneously putting abortion rights front and center in voters' minds
and making sure they know that Trump and his GOP sycophants are
responsible for the end of Roe -- and that he'll continue to attack
whatever reproductive rights remain if he gets the chance.

This isn’t mere theory. MAGA Republicans have tried to make recent
elections about every issue under the sun to distract from their attacks
on our rights. But we’ve won midterms, special elections, and state ballot
initiatives because voters have understood that abortion is on the
ballot.

It’s on the ballot again this year, and we want to make sure voters all
over the country know it (and which boxes to check if they want their
reproductive rights restored).

How much noise we make with our weekend of action will depend on how much
support we can provide Indivisible groups, so if you're able to give

Weekend of Action, [ [link removed] ]you can find our full toolkit here.
